Boda Games looks back on 2019 – Part 1
2019: Time once again seems to have flown by in 2019 for all of us at Boda Games Manufacturing. Just last week we were in Philadelphia at the PAX Unplugged 2019 convention having a blast with all our fellow gamers. And with that, convention season for 2019 is officially a wrap! Saying we had a great year would be an understatement, so let’s take a moment and look back at some of the highlights for us this year.
First things first, before we talk about all the games we had the pleasure of being the manufacturer of. On January 7th Boda Games launched it’s completely renewed website. Yes, it was long due but we’d say it was worth the wait? With the new website, it is easier than ever to learn about Boda Games. And our board and card game manufacturing solutions. We think that as a manufacturer, it is important to communicate with our customers as much as possible. After all, Boda Games is in China but the vast majority of our customers are somewhere else in the world. As such, one of our goals with the new website was to get more information to our customers.
How do you ask? For starters, the first thing people always want to know is what games we have been the manufacturer for. So we have a page showcasing some of the projects we have had the pleasure of being the manufacturing partner of. We also think it is important to meet customer both old and new face to face. Luckily, the board game industry is home to a number of amazing conventions around the world that are perfect for this. So to make sure no one misses us, we have a page that tells you all the conventions Boda Games will attend, when they take place and where.
Next up we spend a lot of time trying to think, how can we help aspiring board game designers. As a board game manufacturer, we have the unique position that we talk to a lot of people about a lot of different topics. The unifying factor being, they are all board and card games. And we noticed, there are some questions that are near universal and get asked all the time. Particularly about how to prepare the files for printing. So we have started to prepare articles detailing how to prepare files, what to look out for and more. This is a work in progress, and if there are specific things we should write about please let us know! All the articles can be found on the artwork guidelines page and on the blog.
In part 2 we will also look back on some of the games we produced!
